Centralized Food Processing Practices
In contrast to earlier beliefs that food was processed within individual homes, this study suggests that food preparation was centralized at village sites and managed by the urban centers of the IVC. Moreover, the discovery of weed seeds in Harappa has been linked to the cultural practice of burning cattle dung for fuel, a method that offered a reliable heat source for cooking and various other uses.
