THE RAISING DETAILS AND HISTORY OF THE BATTALION
The absence of a specially trained and equipped force has been felt in the recent past, particularly during communal disturbances at certain parts of the State.Deploying of the Central Rapid Action Force in such situation involves time and also considerable expenditure apart from the tight stipulation about the nature and duration of deployment.Inorder to overcome this the Government decided to constitute a Special Force in Kerala Police, called the State Rapid Action Force or the SRAF in brief.
